Posted June 4, 2017 Let's get some real insight to the question Performance wise should be similar and within few fps of error. So that isn't something to consider Overclocking capability is dependent on luck So what is important between the 3 is temperature. First off is MSI Gaming X. The Auros and Gaming X had a 3 degree difference in temps at load https://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2017/05/16/msi-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-gaming-x-11g-review/9 Guru3D shows it reaching the max of 69 degrees at load (http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_gtx_1080_ti_gaming_x_review,8.html) [insert lenny face here] TPU shows 72 degrees at load https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1080_Ti_Gaming_X/34.html Next is Gigabyte Aorus, not to be confused with Aorus Extreme Edition The test done by bit tech before remains unchanged https://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2017/04/13/aorus-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-review/10 KitGuru shows a max of 71 degree, sadly it wasn't been compared with other 1080 Ti so nothing can be said here much https://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/ryan-martin/gigabyte-aorus-gtx-1080-ti-xtreme-edition-11gb-review/13/ Aorus is a hard piece of hardware to find review for You can see in this page how it beats out the Founder's Edition card (lol) https://www.hardwareluxx.de/index.php/artikel/hardware/grafikkarten/42573-gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-aorus-im-test.html?start=4 Last is Zotac AMP, not to be confused again with AMP Extreme Saw a maximum temp of 75 http://vr-zone.com/articles/zotac-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-amp-edition-review/126139.html here I suppose to add more reviews for Zotac because one is not enough but one is what I can only find Gaming X and Aorus lead but then which one should you go for? I personally would go with MSI Gaming X as it has been consistently one of the quietest graphics card series out there (similar in noise with the beast out there like Asus Strix, Zotac AMP Extreme...) as evidenced below: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/zotac_geforce_gtx_1080_ti_amp_extreme_review,11.html https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GTX_1080_Ti_Amp_Extreme/30.html http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/asus_rog_strix_geforce_gtx_1080_ti_review,10.html https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_1080_Ti_Strix_OC/28.html http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_gtx_1080_ti_gaming_x_review,10.html https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1080_Ti_Gaming_X/29.html sorry but I would go with something red today
 Posted June 4, 2017 Despite the claims in this thread of the MSI cooler design being "too old", it's still one of the quietest (if not the quietest) cards out there. If you're not anal about noise or temps, get the Zotac card seeing how all the cards perform similarly anyway. 'Fanboyism is stupid' - someone on this forum. Be nice to each other boys and girls. Yup, even though it looks very similar to older versions the Pascal cooler is actually significantly different (aesthetically and cooling as well) from the Maxwell and Kepler designs. 1080Ti ^ (Twin Frozr VI) 980Ti^ (TF V) 780Ti^ (TF IV) -----> Official Unofficial Favorite Keyswitch Type Survey <----- OWNER OF THE FASTEST INTEL iGPU ON LTT UNIGINE SUPERPOSITION [lol] GAMING RIG "SNOWBLIND" CPU i5-13600k | COOLING Corsair H150i Elite Capellix 360mm (White) | MOTHERBOARD Gigabyte Z690 Aero G DDR4 | GPU Gigabyte RTX 3070 Vision OC (White) | RAM 16GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB (White) | SSD Samsung 980 Pro 1TB | PSU ASUS STRIX 850W (White) | CASE Phanteks G360a (White) | HEADPHONES Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro | KEYBOARD Zoom75 (KTT Strawberry w/ GMK British Racing Green keycaps) | MOUSE Cooler Master MM711 (White) | MONITOR HP X32 1440p 165hz IPS WORK RIG "OVERPRICED BRICK" Mac Studio (M2 Ultra / 128GB / 1TB) | HEADPHONES AirPods Pro 2 | KEYBOARD Logitech MX Mechanical Mini | MOUSE Logitech MX Master 3S | MONITOR 2x Dell 4K 32" SECONDARY RIG "ALCATRAZ" CPU i7-4770K OC @ 4.3GHz | COOLING Cryorig M9i (review) | MOTHERBOARD ASUS Z87-PRO | GPU Gigabyte 1650 Super Windforce OC | RAM 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 1600 MHz | SSD Samsung 860 Evo 512GB | HDD Toshiba 3TB 7200RPM | PSU EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W | CASE NZXT H230 | HEADPHONES Sony WH-1000XM3 | KEYBOARD Corsair STRAFE - Cherry MX Brown | MOUSE Logitech G602 | MONITOR LG 34UM58-P 34" Ultrawide HOLA NIGHT THEMERS GET YOUR ASS ON NIGHT THEME OTHER TECH I OWN: MacBook Pro 16" [M1 Pro/32GB/1TB] | 2022 Volkswagen GTI | iPhone 14 Pro | Sony a6000 | Apple Watch Series 8 45mm | 2018 MBP 15" | Lenovo Flex 3 [i7-5500U, HD5500 (fastest on the forum), 8GB RAM, 256GB Samsung 840 Evo] | PS5, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch [Home Theater setup] | DJI Phantom 3 Standard | AirPods 2 | Jaybird Freedom (two pairs) & X2 [long story, PM if you want to know why I have 3 pairs of Jaybirds]
 I also had a hard time finding reviews for the Gigabyte Aorus (non-extreme version), I just found one review which was not very reputable and one which lacked comparisons to other cards. MSI would actually fit my PC color scheme better, not that it matters that much. I though it is smaller than the Gigabyte one but it actually seems that they are about the same size despite the MSI one having only 2 fans which from just a picture is a bit confusing. 2 hours ago, Princess Cadence said: Why is EVGA not an option? As I already mentioned few times, it is way more expensive and I don't see any reason spending that kind of money for no extra performance. Otherwise, I would go with EVGA. I can hardly justify spending that much for no extra performance. Yes, I would gladly pick one up if it was not so expensive. I would rather spend that money on new games. the customer service EVGA provides is worth the extra you spend imo id gladly spend 100$ extra for EVGA over the rest. one of the only companies that allow you to take there card apart without voiding warranty i7 12700k/Asus Tuf z690/32GB Corsair Dominator RGB 3200MHZ/EVGA 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra/Samsung 980 Pro 1TB/Asus 2540x1440p 165hz Gsync/Acer 2560x1440p G Sync 144hz
 Posted June 4, 2017 I'd personally choose an EVGA or ASUS Strix 1080 TI, but out of the three listed, the Aorus is best. I would have gotten an EVGA 1080 TI, but I got a good deal on mine.
