preformance of gtx 1050

What kind of performance can I expect from a 1050. Got it in a laptop because college needed me to have a laptop. It's an hp omen coming in with 8gb of ddr4 sdimm ram and a i7- 7700hq cpu.

Haven't played Civilization 5, but a laptop 1050 should run games like LoL and Overwatch at 1080p med settings higher than 60 FPS even in frame dips. the i7 7700HQ is wasted though, an i5 7300HQ matches the 1050 best.

Ok. I can turn down settings a bit to get the better frames.

i got the i7 because I needed the quad core power for cad modeling. otherwise I would have gotten the I5

Unless you're talking about a U model i5, in which case it would be a hyperthreaded dual core.

Should get to med/high settings 60FPS in most AAA titles today, high/ultra 60FPS in older titles.
