The last 4/5 things i've bought for my main rig haven't worked :(

Jumper118

over the past 6 months i have bought a Gigabtye windforce GTX 660 which broke after 24 hours with a driver update then the company i bought it from went bust, so i got 0 money back, second thing i've got was a GTX 670 power edition to replace the 660 that i lost, this has actually worked ok since i got it  :o . Last month i blew up my fx6200 and decided to upgrade to a i5 2550k and msi mpower which were both faulty and still haven't been replaced yet  . Then on tuesday i got a be quiet power zone 650w psu which is doa  :( . I am getting a 7970 lightning and some avexir ram for christmas so i don't know if they work yet. Is it just me or am i the unluckiest person with pc components ever! my face has actually looked very similar to my avatar for the past month and its making want to buy a ps4 or give up pc/gaming altogether  -_-

if anything i've got more careful and started to use antistaic wrist strap and stuff. its seem the more careful i am the more stuff breaks! if i bash it around and rub it on my jumper it might work better xD

no but it sounds a lot like a PSU frying your components and quality shipment

i don't think its the psu because it was fine running my oc'ed Fx6200, oc'ed gtx670 and oc'ed gt610 folding 24/7.

the motherboard wasn't very well packed i have to say but the rest of the stuff i've had has looked fine and been packed fairly well. that i5 2550k was brand new in the box so i don't get how that didn't work. the gtx 660 died after i updated the drivers.

i am seriously trying not to, but i moved on from my last hobby because i was spending more time fixing stuff than using it. i thought pc's would be a bit more reliable, but the thing that is annoying me most is that you can't fix things like a cpu or gpu because you have no idea whats wrong with them sometimes and sending stuff back all the time seems really frustrating with some companies. i wouldn't mind one thing breaking because i overclock it to much, but all these things not working when they are at stock or new seems crazy.

If you buy a PS4 you might get a DOA as thats been fairly common especially in Australia.

tbf i'd probably buy a ps3 and gt6 and start getting some nicer parts for my bike to fit ready for summer. i really don't want to do that though cos i do find pc's good. especially at this time of year when its all dark and cold.

Get a UPS, you may be having brownouts or over-surging voltages which are killing your components.

I agree with the first post, it might be your PSU. Very rarely does someone have this bad of luck.

i got a new psu the other day and that didn't work. the cx500m i was using was folding 24/7 of 2 or 3 months with the 6200, 670 and 610 flat out.

What do you mean it didn't work? I just think it has to be something other than bad luck.
