Honestly its basically useless considering the 480/580 isnt meant to do things requiring more than 4

I mean my first thought for reasons to want 8 gb of ram is skyrim mods as they can for sure take up more than 4gb of ram.

A) it's VRAM not RAM two entirely separate thing, ones for GPUs ones for everything else. Just so you know

B) yea that is probably true, depends on what mods you have but yea, I can see you getting above 4GB of VRAM quite easily with all the texture mods

yeah I was too lazy to add the V lol. as soon as I submitted the reply i thought to myself that someone would bring it up but then i also thought maybe people wont be a stickler about it because with context its clear its vram. also vram is still technically ram.

Wow, at last pretty powerful and nice AMD laptop. Nice move Asus.

But, i do not like dedicated graphics and this nvidia optimus thing. I prefer IGPUs. So please AMD make 4 core/8 thread Ryzen chip with powerful IGPU on it. So it's efficient, cool and slim. I prefer 15.6" with 1080p Display.

Computer users fall into two groups:
those that do backups
those that have never had a hard drive fail.

they are doing that for both desktop and mobile, infact the new mobile CPUs IGPUs are Vega based so shouldn't be that bad

I also believe that ryzen mobile laptops might be coming out towards the end of summer, but that might be talking about this laptop which isn't actually using a ryzen mobile CPU
