The budget is firm, $1,000 tops not a dollar over. It needs to be decently powerful (CPU wise), as long as the hdd/ssd is easily removable I do not care if it has a 5400RPM HDD in it because I have a 256GB Ssd to pop into it.

This laptop will be used for heavy excel use, lots of web browsing, video streaming, Corel Draw... Etc.

Requirements

  • So storage just needs to be replaceable
  • i7-i5 6th gen or newer.
  • 1080p ips screen minimum
  • no larger than 15.6" no smaller than 13.3"
  • preferably lightweight, not a must.
  • Does not need dedicated GPU

These laptops are what I am about to suggest to her:

Can anyone find a better laptop options in this price range?

I'm going to throw the Dell XPS 13 with the i5 out there. Newest version. It gets superb battery life.

Why do you want an i7? It's highly unlikely that it'll be beneficial in any way, and they use a lot more battery power.

Don't get something that's not KabyLake. There were pretty nice battery improvements.

What will she generally be doing?

I'd definitely go for a ThinkPad, I love the X1 Carbon and am on one right now but it'll cost to much.  Look at these:

Like all the other forum history, that't why it's kept.

You should take a minute to think to yourself why users aren't allowed to delete their own posts/threads, and why a mod will also not delete your thread.
