Destiny 2 is Battlenet exclusive.

As someone above said, Blizzard owns activision, which is publishing D2.
So really it's not super strange.
A little odd since steam is a bigger distribution platform, but at the same time D2 is kind of already well known so if people want to buy it, they don't need to be reminded it exists through steam.
I don't quite know how to put it into words.

I make bad life decisions.

Bungie Makes D2 so wouldn't they want a bigger market place (i.e Steam), but at this point, I think blizzard doesn't care what you're playing if you're playing something through battle.net

Makes sense if Activision/Blizzard doesn't want to deal with Steam's profit sharing scheme.  Not gonna lie, I'm intrigued in Destiny 2 now since it would make for a nice addition to my battle.net library.  Also I doubt moving the game to battle.net will hurt any since that thing has gotten a huge publicity boost since Overwatch was released.  (Not like it was unknown before...)

I don't see what's strange about it. They're probably going to end up making a lot more money by avoiding having to give steam a cut. Seems like a pretty smart move by them.

I don't mind this though. I now can buy the game with wow gold.
