Ryzen 5 1400 upgrade

Im looking to upgrade my pc (specs)

a10 7850k

8gb 1600 mhz ddr3

rx470

 

So did some research and want to upgrade to an r5 1400 with 8 gb ddr4 ram @3000mhz and a motherboard of some kind.

Will this be able to play bf1 at 1080p  high/ultra?

Will it be kind of future proof?

 

else i was going to wait and buy an r5 1600

16 gb ddr4 @3000Mhz

and msi b350m gaming pro

this would be a better choice but 1400 is still a very good CPU, if you can wait get the 1600.

If you buy this you'll have an already "high end" gaming rig that will be up to date for a couple of years to go.

srry for changing the subject but would an intel pentium g4560, 8gb ddr4 @3000Mhz and msi b350m motherboard suffice?

 

becuz in the netherlands the ryzen upgrade would be around 300 eur while the pentium would be around 200

(i dont think my mum will appreciate it if i spent more money on my pc)

I disagree. We are only now getting to the point the 2500k is starting to get bad but only for high framerate gaming. 2600k still has no issues unless you are pushing past 144. I'd say if he gets the 6 core then he will be set for years.

I'd go with the 1500x at least, but the 1600 would be better. I don't think there's that big of a price difference between them.

If you can get a good OC. At stock, the 2600 is on par with an i3 6100 in most titles. So. Not the greatest performance.

16GB if possible, otherwise you'll buy more RAM because games are using more than 8GB sometimes these days.

16GB. I go over 8GB pretty much all the time.

If you can get a good OC. At stock, the 2600 is on par with an i3 6100 in most titles. So. Not the greatest performance.

 

That's not true in the slightest. It's more around a stock modern i5.

I said nothing of the 2600k.

It's honestly also not that far off the i3, depending on the title.

2600 has the exact same clock speeds as the 2600k so this also applys to what you brought up.

 

Well no duh. Some games prefer IPC over core counts but for the wide majority, the old i7 is quite a bit better even at stock.

Honestly if your looking to just play BF1 then the G4560 will do you fine. If you want it to be more future proof get a Ryzen. Which one just depends on how much your willing to spend. I would get 8gb of RAM now and buy more later.
