oh yeah let's get a 650$ cpu that i don't know how to use!, and let's risk frying it because of some 5$ paste that i might have to buy in the 1 to 10000 chance that it won't work....

i was fine with it until he explained himself .. at first i thought .. oh this guy is just clueless .. or did he just have the biggest brain fart ever and simply forget the cooler?

then he went on to explain himself .. and he knew better, there's no excuse, no mistake, i .. just don't have words .. can't even fathom this, my brain literally can't comprehend this, this is beyond me.

and this guy should get a restraining order from approaching new hardware for the next 6 months.

Please......Please don't let this discourage you from building your own pc. It is a wonderful experience, and the way you will feel when your first pc posts is once in a lifetime (Unless you build more :P)

Im 15 and building my 9th pc this coming weekend, and i have never shorted out a pc component (so far :P) Just make sure your taking the right precautions :D

90 to 120 degrees at most! plenty enough to destroy it in 3 minutes. max temps on a cpu are 80 degrees 90 to 100 degrees is failures on a MB, 110 degrees is destroyed at once.
