Im looking to buy a new gpu. I have a corsair air 240 so i need the card to fit, i only play at 1080p and im looking at the Rx 580 8Gb as it is within my budget. Is it worth it or should i look to nvidia?

Very worth, and extra 2gb vram might help with futureproofnesss, although the 580 will by most likely obsolete by the time more than 6gb is normally used.

Yeah, the unless you play Watch_dogs 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands. In which case, you would need a 1080 xD

I'm rolling with 2 RX 460's Crossfired, But yes i would say a 580 is faster then a 1060, But keep in mind Nvidias software is amazing, I find AMD's lacking.

(If you even care about that sorda thing)

Software as in drivers or features?  AMD drivers will get updates for at least 5 years, but NVIDIA has stuff like Shadowplay and Ansel.

My 9-year old HD 4560 just stopped getting driver updates in 2015. (I think it is a 4560, I don't remember the exact SKU but it starts with a 4. )

it's within margin enough for my hatred for nvidia's GTX1060 naming scheme to recommend 580 by default :D

Crysis? I am 99% sure that you can use high settings and still get 60FPS with an RX 580... Deus Ex is not well optimized tho...

On a budget? The Pulse is pretty good.

Wanna spend a bit more? Strix, nitro, or gaming x if you want a red GPU.
