So, we moved and we have charter cable internet

 

and ive got to say its quite something

we used to have CenturyLink wich was a load of ass 500KB down 100KB up most of the time

and a 200MS ping

 

but now...

Yeahh...

 

and the thing is its cheaper 

 

go figure

and for once my wifi 2.4GHz is actually the bottleneck because over ethernet it can do 100MB/s down

and the ISP provided router supports 5Ghz

So how much is it? Get this for $65 US / month in Canada. Supposed to be 200mbps, did the test while my family members were streaming 4K on TV.

In unrelated news I had an outage on Charter internet/phone tonight for an hour or so. This doesn't happen often (maybe 2-3 times per year), so overall I'm happy with Charter. Wish the speeds were a little faster though.

Dang 2-3 times per year? lucky i get a internet outage at least once a month. Yeah wish the upload was a bit more i think they have another plan or two, but only available in certain area.
