What makes you guys think there is anything wrong with these cables? From my understanding its normal for 1 of the 24 pins in a 24pin atx connector to be missing, unless you're talking about some other issue?

@Zyndo there may not be, but just for verification purposes we of course want to check so that there are no worries. :)

I have no idea. I'm not entirely familiar with PSU's and their pinouts. I do know that on every 24pin ATX connector i've ever seen, they all have one missed pin... some copmanies will run an unconnected dummy cable or fill it with dummy pins for posterity sake or aesthetics, but one a 24pin ATX cable only uses 23 actual pins so far as I know. You can check this by going to google and typing in 24 pin atx cable and you will see MOST of the images have a pin/wire missing (and the ones that don't are likely just using a dummy pin as mentioned above)

the problem is that the "hook" is on the wrong side of the connector

what do you mean by that? the hook is going to be where the hook always is. the plastic housing for the pins has only one layout so far as I'm aware. if it wasn't, it would defeat the entire purpose of it being a standard.

ow, my bad. i just saw I looked wrong. i thought the last row of the upper plug was the first row of the bottom one. sorry for the inconvinience.

I can tell from experience with CableMod they usually use older versions of pin layout (Like EVGA, they don't use the revision layout). Not sure what Kit you bought. Most 24 Pin ATX should only be missing one terminal not two.

Here is comparison between CableMod 24 Pin ATX & cable you get with EVGA 1600W T2 PSU.
