Hello I currently have a 1150 motherboard, ddr3 ram and i7 4770k processor and want to upgrade to ddr4, i7 7700k and a motherboard with a minimum of 8 sata ports. Can you please recomend any components for me to buy? Thanks

 

Money is no object, as long as it all works thank you. Please include any other relevant info like socket types etc thanks.

Any particular reason you need eight sata ports? Like a RAID configuration or a unusually high amount of hard drives?

Why 7700K? 1151 is dead.

Most of the medium to high end LGA 1151 Z270 boards have 8, but not a lot of them have great raid support, if you wanna do something funky get a raid card.

Well if you wanna just game the I7 7700K at 4.8-5.2GHz would crush most other CPU's even Ryzen. I am in  the middle of upgrading and will probably be ordering that CPU tomorrow and I plan for 144Hz gaming so all that clock is needed.

Firstly...what country do you live in so that we can search for products on the relevant sites. Also, can you tell us what you want to use the computer for. Do you want optane, m.2, nvme, 4 memory modules or two etc....

 

Sure I can just say...get blah blah blah, but I imagine you want help on getting a really nice set of components that work well together. For that I need a little more info. It can be a simple answer...in that case just get an Asus motherboard z270 motherboard. Such as...

Pair it with some ddr4 3400mhz ram with the lowest timings you can and Bam...a no brainer setup that disregards price.
