with this build i'll be planing on playing most current and future games on 1920 1080 144 hz and i'm just wondering if the build would work. my budget is around 1300-1400 USD, also is there anything i should change to make it better?

I would get a 7700K instead of a 7700. The 7700K has 4.2GHz while the 7700 has only 3.6GHz base frequenzy. If the price difference is fine for you, I would get the 7700K. Maybe even consider a Z270 board if you want to overclock.

Ryzen isnt quite fast enough for 144hz at 1080p.

Seems good. But one question, why you choose the EVGA GS PSU but not the G2? Only a few bucks more but significantly better electrical performance.
