Accessing safe mode through boot Windows 10

Any way to access it like in the old times, like we did by pressing F8 or F12? I believe that SSDs removed that way.

 

Only way I've found so far is manually rebooting while the Windows splash screen loads, you do it 3-4 times and it finally gives you a few options including safe mode.

 

Not currently having a problem, but had in the past. Didn't go past cursor on black screen due to some driver corruption.

 

Most guides on the Internet show you how to do it when you have msconfig access for the next boot. 

Desktop 1: 7800x3d @ stock, 64gb DDR5 @ 6000, Asus 5090 Astral OC, x670 Asus Strix

Easiest way is go into the msconfig.exe and select in boot to go into safe mode then restart.

Go to msconfig and click the option to enter safe mode and then it will ask you if you want to restart.

Yeah but sometimes as I mentioned you don't have access to Windows' interface. Like my previous problem I had only a cursor on a permanent black screen due to misbehaving drivers. Only way I figured is by insuring that Windows fails to boot 3-4 straight times. After that it offers you things like safe mode or system restore.

Turn off fast startup, makes your life accessing the F8 menu easier.

I did this, just made it more irritating by showing this menu every time on boot up.

Gonna try doing a recovery USB.

 

Don't think failing Windows hurts the OS / PC though, but just to be sure.

Still does, try turning off fast start-up.
