Quick question: Which GPU do you recommend?

RX 480 > 1060

and 1060 is more expensive.

1060 is slightly faster

 

edit: 1060 price difference is negligible. Actually though, i'm gonna have to change my vote in favor of the 480, cause if he ever wants to upgrade in the future, he can do 480 Crossfire. 1060 can't sli so rip

470/570 is not really much weaker than GTX 1060 and I am able to push well above 60FPS in most games at High settings at 1440p. Some games even on Ultra.

I am sure medium settings will be no problem for these cards at all.

GTX 1060 6G/RX 480/580 4G/8G

BF1, DOOM -> Ultra 60+FPS

GTA V -> High + MFAA + TXAA 60+FPS

RotTR, W3 -> mix of Medium/High/Ultra + FXAA 60+FPS
