best motherboard that is compatible with i7-3770

i need to buy a new motherboard and i have a i7-3770 what should i buy

I'd go with whatever is least expensive since the price of those boards will be a bit higher due to low availability.

there are alot of A z77 mobos do you know what would be the best choice?

If you can find one that's new, great. If not, go for an Asrock, MSI, Gigabyte, or Asus board that's in fairly good condition.

 

As for a specific recommendation, I can't give you one.

 

As for the results of the other thread, consensus leaned towards the i5-6500K.

I would say a B75 board. You don't really need OC with a non-K chip. Base clock OC isn't really worth it.

No, a few of the older ones have partially unlocked multipliers.  They only let you increase it by 4.  I don't know whether or not the base clock is locked.  A Z series board would potentially let the OP overclock to 4.3GHz, assuming it stays stable.  The multiplier won't go any higher than 43 though.
