Well, I'm finally gaming on my Ryzen 1800x build.  It's not completely done yet, as I'm still waiting on Corsair to ship me my bracket for the H115i (literally, I've been waiting a month now), so I'm stuck on air cooling until then.

Here's some pictures of the cabling in the back.

My SSD is just temporarily unmounted, as I needed to get a SATA power extension cable.

The ever important case badges.

Completed with side panels on (I forgot to take the plastic off before taking the picture)

Specs are as follows:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 1800x

MoBo - Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming K7

Cooler - Corsair H115i (not currently mounted)

RAM - 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 300MHz CMK16GX4M2B3000C15W (only able to get 2666MHz stable, currently)

Case - Cooler Master Storm Trooper

PSU - 650WT SeaSonic Prime Titanium

Video - XFX R9 390 8GB (to be replaced with Vega)

SSD - 240GB Sandisk Extreme Pro

HDD - 1TB Hitachi, 2TB Hitachi, 3TB HGST, 5TB HGST (basically, all Hitachi drives, which have served me extremely well over the years).

Optical - LG Blu-Ray burner/HD-DVD player

OS - Windows 10 Pro OEM x64

So far as the optical drive goes, I realize that HD-DVD is deader than Betamax.  I just like the thought of having one that can actually play it, even if I don't own a single disc.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know why this forum doesn't have a preview function before posting?  I wanted to make sure the URL links were working correctly, but I couldn't find out until I posted the topic.

D'oh!  To be fair, it could be a bit more prominent.  I'm used to having the button right next to the 'Post' button.  Thanks for that, though.

Uplosf to imgur instead, postimage makes your pic so tiny

They're hotlinks to the original files.  The originals were too big to post here.

Yeah, I really didn't need to either, I just decided it was time.  Apart from reusing my drives and temporarily borrowing my video card, this is basically a completely new build, something I haven't done in many years now (probably 10 years or more).  I've done incremental upgrades, or sometimes even replacing CPU/MoBo/RAM together, but I haven't built something completely from scratch for a very long time.  This seemed like the right time to do it.

Well,my bracket FINALLY arrived, and here's the end result.  Apart from a little bit more cable management, and still needing to fix my SSD (waiting on a SATA power extension/Y cable), my build is finally complete.

I wanted to mount the fans above the radiator, since the screws for the radiator mounting get in the way of the top filter, but I couldn't make it work.  I got one fan mounted, but the other one just wouldn't align with the screw holes (and I've got the scratch marks in my radiator to prove it).  Not a major issue, just a minor irritation.
