t console killers don't exist anymore, a ps4 pro can be had for 300 usd or a ps4 for 245 usd, remember that they usually come bundled with a game, vr support, psp vita remote play, guarantee future release and a Blu-ray player. if you do want to make a console killer pc you have to look at the used market, a 2nd or 3rd gen i5 or i7, building a new console killer is hard to impossible. if you are looking for a cheap gpu look at rx480 they go on sale for 143 usd after rebate.

This is the closest I've gotten to matching the PS4 Pro. I'm sure you could shave off a few dollars here or there.

?? The RX480 is around 30% more powerful than the GPU in the PS4P specs wise so... :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Its not close to console killer.. i know its a budget build but damn cast those psu away pls.

Go with seasonic s12ii its the best bugdet psu out there.

No,  the S12II isn't the best budget PSU available...

It's all down to pricing which it's almost safe to assume that something like Corsair's CX450/550M is cheaper than SS's equivalent S12II :P

Grey ;)

And yes, I was looking at UK prices, not US prices before you say anything about how the S12II is cheaper in the US...

Uk no wonder..

its seems like everything is so expensive in UK.

In here s12ii cost about $65 brand new and CXM grey 550 $75-80

Just because we have 20% taxes to pay ;-;

How I remember the days of pre-brexit...the prices weren't £1=$1 for GPUs and CPUs :/ (at least our PSU prices have stayed relatively the same)

The RX 470 isn't near the theoretical performance of the PS4 Pro's GPU. So either I shave off $50 and don't get the PS4 Pro's graphical performance or tack it on and exceed it.

Either way, you're not killing the PS4 Pro in terms of price/performance if you do it yourself.

20% geezz i would move to somewhere else..

Lucky here there are a lot of cheap shiets i am talking about black market.

Hell Seasonic s12G cost $20bucks but with the voltage sticker removed not sure it was real but most of the stuff that i bought are legit..

Where did the RX470 come from? You have a RX480 listed in the PCPP list...

Also, specs wise, a RX480 and the iGPU in the PS4P is identical but one thing (not including memory) which is the clock speed. It's something around 911MHz for the PS4P whereas a RX480 clocks at around 1250MHz (not including overclocks) so... :P

That would've been my other choice of GPU?

I'm not going to throw in an NVIDIA GPU if I'm trying to match the PS4 as closely as possible.

Fair enough :P

Never said anything about using a Nvidia GPU...

On a side note, you do realise that the RX470 is supposed to have a higher GFLOPS right? RX470-4940 versus PS4P-4179...what's this about the PS4P having more theoretical performance? xD

I don't see how 2048 shaders running at 920 MHz has a higher GFLOPS performance than 2304 shaders running at 911MHz.

Who de fuck told ya the RX470 runs at sub 1000MHz? The last time I checked, even the crapiest RX470s are running at 1200MHz :P

Oh, boost clocks.

Okay, I guess that validates using an RX 470.

Underload, the RX470 will always be pinned at the highest "boost clock" clock speed so...it's basically safe to assume most RX470 will be running at around 1250MHz, at stock. :P

On a side note, as we are talking about the GFLOPS, I've always viewed the PS4P's GPU as a 380X...oh wait, that has a higher GFLOPS as well...

A 2048 shader GPU that's only running like 100MHz higher is beating a 2304 shader GPU...BAHAHAHAHAHAH xD
