In the future, I would advise using compressed air to clean dust off components rather than blowing. It reduces the possibility of getting saliva on components.

The cooler is being dragged down by gravity and it is making contac (get it? the cooler is contac 16) It was possibly just a coincidence and i was worried. Anyways thanks for the support! :D

I was cleaning my pc of dust today and while i was looking at the gpu (palit stormx 4gb 1050 ti) i tried blowing on it but i spitted a little bit. So i cleaned it up made sure its dry and i assembled my pc. I lost 2 standoffs for my thermaltake cooler so i just put 2 diagonally. gravity pushes it down so i dont think i should get higher temperatures. When i booted on the pc i played a match of csgo and my fps was 10 or 5 lower than usual and it would stutter. Is this because my cooler is missing 2 standoffs or because i spitted on my gpu and are there any possible fixes.   cpu cooler is thermaltake contac 16.

First thing, don't blow on your GPU.

Check your temps and usage to see if the system is throttling. If the cooler isn't making contact properly, it may not cool the chip enough, resulting in the clockspeed dropping. 

 

In the future, I would advise using compressed air to clean dust off components rather than blowing. It reduces the possibility of getting saliva on components.

The cooler is being dragged down by gravity and it is making contac (get it? the cooler is contac 16) It was possibly just a coincidence and i was worried. Anyways thanks for the support! :D

My dad tried to dust our first computer when I was a kid by blowing into it.  Yep, fried that computer.  And he was pissed at me because he did it.  Apparently my not wanting to clean Chernobyl off the 133mhz pentium computer a second time when 600mhz pentium 3s were pretty common somehow turned into blow into the computer.

There's something cool here - you just can't see it.
