Honestly that is a really bad reason to not play an awesome game. Your second part on how it crashes I can understand but are you talking about the game or Origin itself? If it is the game everyone had that and if it is origin I have no idea why because it never crashes for most/the rest of us.

When it was first announced and released the biggest reason for not getting it was because it dont want multiple accounts with games everywhere... i want to have them in 1 place.

In a perfect world they would both use the same serials and gamers should be able to choose where to activate their game... if you prefer origin, get ur games there... if you prefer steam.. get them there. But that will never happen.. unfortunately. Didn't like BF anyway so im glad i never bought it, and there's nothing else from EA i want. So i don't need origin anyway right now.

They changed it about a week after the public started going crazy about it.

I posted a semi-long post regarding Origin a few weeks back. I'll try finding it.

*EDIT* Found it.

TL;DR: Origin was bad. Now it's decent. Only thing that sucks is that EA forces region locked currencies that are not reasonable at all. Example: Battelfield 4 costs 499 nok (Norway), which is around 70$.

Well that one of the thing I didn't know about, here a thread I started regarding the EULA if you know about one of these point fell free to let everyone know.

Origin has to realease the In-Home Streaming as well, or else they will miss out on potencial FIFA buyers (me at least...). I can't tell you how helpfull it would be if I could stream from my gaming PC at my desk to my laptop (plugged to my TV) at my living room! 2 controllers connected via bluetooth (probably my PS3 controllers) and I could play FIFA with my brother without having to move my desktop PC! That would be amazing...

I automatically thought you were referring to the EULA stuff I referred to. This is actually more disturbing, but I'm not really shocked either to be honestI don't think you have anything to worry about as long as you don't do anything suspicious like cheating and scamming. Besides, many companies include "I agree not to sue company X" in their EULA anyway. Bitch move by these corporations and we consumers are falling for it.

I'm still not going to agree.

Valve says thing and I trust them they will do it so the problem I have with the Steam EULA are cancel.

With EA however they're amplify.

Right now is origin that bad? I hated origin when it was in beta because of how buggy it was, but right now, is origin that bad? I find it easier to use then steam, and steam feels a bit messy to me. I don't quite know hot to explain it.

So right now, origin vs steam, which is a better platform? I also like origin since i can get games cheap on amazon and activate it on origin, where I cannot do that with steam.

EDIT: let me add on, if you have an opinion on which is better, can you state why? i actually want to know what features im missing out on.

I used to not use either and also thought steam was kinda messy, but then one day I just instantly figured steam out and now I'm happy as can be with it, especially big picture mode for couch gaming.

Alot of people are saying that its cheaper to get games on steam? I find that false. It's much easier to get games on origin, you go to amazon or some other website and order the game for super cheap and activate it on origin, wouldn't that make origin have cheaper games?

\For example, Crysis 2 is 29.99 on steam, and 29.99 on origin store, but its 12 dollar on amazon, but you activate it on origin.

Steam may have better deals, but I'm not going to lie, from my experience Origin is way more responsive and faster than steam.

Origin you can only really buy EA Games, and Steam you can buy everything except EA Games that launched after Origin was released. Both of them are better then Uplay, yesterday I got my free AC4 and Splinter Cell from Nvidia and the pain I went through to edit a uplay account then make a new one was ridiculous.

Because in most cases Origin is JUST EA game launcher and store. Steam is waaaaaay build up. I personally i always found Steam faster than Origin.

Plus please - EA games (Origin) vs All others+Steam Greenlight (Steam) its like Fiat Panda to Bugatti Veyron in case of speed...

I prefer Steam since they usually have great deals during their holiday and summer sales and I've recently found the Humble Bundle deals to be even better :)

Was going to pick up Natural Selection 2 and Garry's Mod this steam sale, but instead a day later humble bundle has those packaged with other games for as little s $4 (with more to come)

"Donny you're out of your element!"

"Smokey, this is not 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules."

I have to say Steam, although admittedly Origin isn't as terrible as I once remember it.  First and most importantly, most, if not, all my friends are on Steam which makes the in-game overlay really useful.  The in-game overlay almost always works for any game, including non-steam games that you add a shortcut to in Steam.  Steam also has a much greater selection of games, and during sales you can get them for really cheap, although recently other sites like green man gaming have even better deals while you still get your games on Steam.  There is also a lot of things that Valve has been doing recently with Steam that I really like, such as the Steam Machines and bringing games to Linux.  And many other minor features, such as keeping track of your gametime, are pretty nice.  The only reason I use Origin is for Dead Space 3 from the Humble Origin Bundle, I would play BF3 too but when I launch it, it brings me to a website.  Yeah I know that's the server browser, I still don't like it.  I can't even launch the game to change the graphics settings... xD
