Right now is origin that bad? I hated origin when it was in beta because of how buggy it was, but right now, is origin that bad? I find it easier to use then steam, and steam feels a bit messy to me. I don't quite know hot to explain it.

So right now, origin vs steam, which is a better platform? I also like origin since i can get games cheap on amazon and activate it on origin, where I cannot do that with steam.

EDIT: let me add on, if you have an opinion on which is better, can you state why? i actually want to know what features im missing out on.

Steam, you can get a lot cheaper games on there

Origin is kind of a mess and less functional than steam

steam, i only have origin due to battlefield and if it wasnt for battefield then for the free games I got in the humble bundle. I will admit that origin does some things better, i dont like the little X at the top of the program, i prefer windows UI.

So, most people will agree that steam is better, but origin is still functional, correct?

Define -> "functional".

Download server crashes, many times Origin hangs up and EA games well look at BF4 how they f*cked it up...

steam all the way.... i've wanted to play bf3 and 4 but just out right refused to get them cuz of origin. I will NEVER get origin.

you might ask or say well if you've never tried it how do you know its bad? well first of all, cuz of all the complaints on the internet about crashes of origin itself and the games it starts.

second, i tried origin, for the BF4 beta or demo or whatever. It ran 4 times after which it refused. I tried to restart origin and it refused to run. i restarted my computer and it still refused to run.

tried reinstalling.... IT STILL REFUSED TO RUN! At that point i uninstalled and almost thanked god i didn't buy anything.... that's why origin is a pile of crap, for me at least, which i will never install again. which means no titanfall for me but i can live with that... there's other ways of playing that game.. if only for the single player part. As for BF, it's not that good anyway and i've moved on to other games.

Honestly, i use Origin because i have to when playing BF4 etc. I buy new releases on cjs-cdkeys and use steam for communication.

I don't really get the hatred toward Origin as a platform (Don't worry I totally get the hatred toward EA). The platform itself is decent other than the fact that it only has EA games only and EA happens to overprice everything.

So yes I prefer steam because the EA store is just ridiculous.

Steam to me seem easier to use and my games always (and i mean always) will install. but saying that i hate using the steam software to browser for games or eait my steam profile. it's very laggy, i always end up hoping over to the steam website instead of using the steam program!

With Origin i only have round 40 ish games installed (half of which are CnC  :) ) but i think a good 15 of them i have to hack for them to install. (i'm talking white hack. go into down load fold and manually for every part of the games installer). which gets old fast.  But on the plus side Origin reals alot faster/less laggy than steam once it's loaded.

i have over 400 games installed on my pc using 1.3Tb off space (i really should get out more lol). so i personally go with the one that gives me less hassle. so for me that Steam 80% of the time :)

Honestly that is a really bad reason to not play an awesome game. Your second part on how it crashes I can understand but are you talking about the game or Origin itself? If it is the game everyone had that and if it is origin I have no idea why because it never crashes for most/the rest of us.

Do you know what I love about Orgin?  I love when you go to the game library and you resize the game thumbnails the animation is so crisp and the thumbnail view just looks so much better than steams. Steams thumbnail view is slow at loading all the images.
