Fractal Design R5 Black w/ Window (Newegg) - $80

There's been a backorder on the Define R5 Black w/ Window (not the Blackout) on Newegg since Saturday. Generally, Newegg closes purchase of items until they are back in stock, but I'm guessing that they got a deal and have left the case on backorder for purchase to be billed on the day of handling. 

 

I've heard a great deal of this case from several forum members and have decided to jump on this deal. Hopefully it goes through.

I use this case for my main computer and its a great buy. However, if you don't use a CD drive or hard drive anymore, go with the define S instead. It's simply cleaner with the S over the 5.

I paid an extra 10 for 3-day shipping and just received my tracking number. The backorder must be popular enough that Newegg is turning them around quickly.

The case is usually 110 when I'm looking and the case was on the newsletter sale that weekend, but rather than "out of stock" and not for purchase, Newegg had it as backorder and for purchase.

Case arrived yesterday. It arrived with broken front panel clips. Don't know if it was a manufacturer defect or Fedex mishandling the package. Otherwise, it is quite a beautiful and spacious case. 

 

Newegg approved the RMA and hopefully the replacement will be in better shape.
