So I ordered an extra 360 controller off of amazon to play a game with a friend. But the box looks nothing like what I bought before. I had off brand controllers, but I can't tell if this one is not an official one, or if MS at some point changed the box style completly. The last one I bought a couple of years ago looks like this  Image result for official xbox 360 wired controller box

but the one I just recieved from Amazon looks like this. Image result for official xbox 360 wired controller box Are they the same thing with an updated box?

Just like nerdslayer1 said can't really tell from a picture would really have to play with it, but to give you some hope i'll say it could be refurbished by a 3rd party company.(most likely a fake)

I have seen both boxes before. The first one is more Xbox 360/console gamer targeted while the second one I see more in PC stores.

So in short, the packaging is not a red flag to me. I am not 100% familiar with Xbox 360 controllers, but you can usually spot fake anything gaming by checking the copyright info on the back (of the packaging and item) and see if that is correct.

Looks legit to me, it is just the PC packing like above mentioned, I seen it on legit shopping mall shops in here before.
