Meanwhile the 1060 is being slowly eaten alive by AMD, if Vega can compete with it as good as the CPU division has been competing with Intel at last we might see a fight even for high end between the two, I have seen this rx580 and 570 are now coming to fight the 1060 and 1070 so it makes sense so far.

AMD is on fire this year and finally not for their overheating hardware, the market only has to gain from this.

But the 1008ti will be between the 1080 and titan X, just like always.

Unless AMD releases any good GPUs the prices are not gonna drop.

This is simple logic.

I'll bet it will push the current pricing down.

Launch prices:

780Ti - $699

980Ti - $649

Yeah but the original Titan X launch was 1000, now it is 1200.

I am betting close to 780 dollars in the best aftermarket deal... at least...

I have to say that is a bit poo poo though.  People have been buying 1080s for that price...So, if you just bought at 1080 last month for $649 or so...you just got rear ended.  That does put pressure on AMD though with Vega, but people who just bought 1080s are probably saying WTF....

Clearly you don't understand the difference between MSRP and the price that retailers choose to sell at.

The MSRP will be between $800 and $1000, possibly more.

It will not be below the 1080 and it will not be above the titan XP.

Of course MSRP will not be below the 1080. That's why they dropped the price of it.

The 1080 FE was originally $700.

Yes.  The MSRP for both the Nvidia card and the AIB cards is $699  And, if you don't want me putting Trump .gifs in my reply....don't reply to me with 'clearly you don't understand...' when clearly you are wrong lol.
