I am having the absolute hardest time choosing between either of these cases. I do plan to do water cooling in the future but nothing more than maybe an AIO. Not looking into custom cooling. I know on the P400 you can only front mount a water cooler and on the Define S you can top or front mount. But for what they're worth which one is best? I understand that "they're both good cases and it's my decision" but please give me some input, which case would you choose?

I'd personally choose the P400S. Integrated RGB lighting, a range of colours to choose from, less plain and, dare I say, boring looking than the Define S and now has the option of a tempered glass side panel.

The p400 you can top mount as well. You might be thinking of the S340 elite, which only has one top fan mounting.

If you like Tempered glass, P400. If you like quiet operation, Define S

You can top mount a 240/280mm rad in the top of the p400?

Yes, you just have to be mindful of the RAD thickness and clearance with the heat spreaders on your motherboard and RAM. Most photo's I see online have it in the front but I did see one or two very small photos with them in the top.

As I said I can vouch for the p400 but as for the fractal cases they are very nice. The only reason I ended up with the p400s was a great deal at just the right moment.

The Fractal Design Define R5 and Define S are both great choices for putting in an AIO, as you can mount radiators on the top or the front, and have plenty of room left for goodies. :-)
