Just trying to help

Except the part where you are wrong. I was never mad. You cannot detect tone of voice over text, so to assume I'm angry over " expletive words " is just simply silly. lmfao.

We don't know anything yet, those leaks could be fake.  Ryzen could either be a game changer or become the next Fury X  - aka "Overclockers dream".

Come back when your done taking the piss!

Again, leaks are not a validated source. Not believing in anything till I see the real deal in 8 days.

Let me look into my crystal ball.... I DON'T FUCKING KNOW. IT'S NOT OUT YET.

I thought maybe users who have had experiences with previously product launches could chip in. As in, have there been misleading benchmarks or price estimates in the past, either for CPUs or not. Because right now there's a lot of hype.

I only follow the industry casually.

Well, what I can tell you, and this goes for everything tech, never be an early adopter. Wait for reviews and user feedback. If everything goes fine, then jump in.

Besides the possibility that the specs / benchmarks or prices are far off?

For gaming and everyday use.

Was eyeing 7700k (with ROG Maximus IX Hero), now looking at 1700X (with ROG Crosshair VI Hero).

Either for 1080 GTX. SLI considered in the future.

The downside is that it is AMD :D
