Can't type in Win 10 Search and Apps

Hi everyone,

My laptop running windows 10 was acting up showing BSODs and freezing, and I fixed it by first restoring it to an earlier restore point and by completely reinstalling Intel's HD Graphics drivers and the Nvidia drivers.

Now, everything seems to work fine again except that I am not able to type in the Search bar or any of the default Windows 10 apps (Store, Groove, etc.).

I've tried a number of CMD and powershell commands, reinstalling updates, Troubleshooting through control panel, attempts at a system restore, messing around with task manager forcing Search.exe to quit, but nothing worked.

Does anyone have a suggestion to what to do here?

Thanks in advance!

Does the onscreen keyboard work in the search bar(s)?

The onscreen keyboard doesn't work either.

[edit] I mean the onscreen keyboard doesn't work in the search bar and apps.
