We basically have the same computer :D but yeah I like to think of a 6700k and 1070 as the upper mid range.

You're literally insane if you think he's anywhere near low end. Are you kidding me?

yes i read what you wrote but i see it as buying two parts that are not meant to be used together, however they can be and  for some reason people do use them, if you want to buy 6700K (or any K in fact) then buy a board that supports OC if not, then don't waste money. See now you have two boards but only one PC, you spend money on something that you on't need just because it was 1/4 the price. (ofc its your money and you can use it as you want but i am saying that you could save it for something else)

ive got more than 1 pc, and just because i wasted money in your opinion, doesnt mean i did...i picked the h170 up for 40 bucks and the z170 for 95 (both on sale at different times) and if you canadd i basically payed for 1 motherboard and got 2 no loss in money

Upper midrange. You'd need to have workstation / X99 to be high end imo. And better GPU.

OP no hard feelings but its a low/mid range build.

Considering:

CPUs above yours: i7-6800k i7-6900k, i7-6950x and more

GPU's: you have one 1070. then there is 1080, titan, then SLI up to FOUR cards. Even though its not supported. they can be made to work.

Then there are SSD's. Yours are small and old.

Ram: you don't have 128gbs   :P

Saying it twice is just rude.

Sorry OP. Its nice to think ones stuff is "top of the line" but yours just isn't.

I7-7700k@5.1ghz + 1080ti @ 2050mhz + 32gbs Ram + 2TB SSD = CSGO

i7-6700k@4.9ghz + 980ti @ 1501mhz + 16gbs Ram + 1 TB SSD = Backup

i7-3770k@4.8ghz + 680 4gb + 32gbs Ram + 500gb SSD = Retired/Office work

why wouldnt it be? the patzs are expensive, i have no need for 8 cores and hyperthreading and i dont need more than 250gb SSD. same with ram: why would i need 128gb? thats just a waste unless you do some special editing and multitasking...otherwise you are just wasting money. nor do i need a 1080 or higher, the 1070 is plenty, plays everything on ultra at 1080p 1440p and even some 4K ....everything over this is just a waste of money unless you need it

I think you are a little confused. You started a thread with the simple question; Is my computer high end? My answer is a reflection of your question based on the availability of current manufactured products that are readily available to consumers.  The inclination of your 'needs' wasn't an original factor so therefore its ignored. So that answer stands. Your computer, no matter how much money it cost you, time, or efforts. Its low/mid end.

Even my $5000 computer is mid grade at best considering. Sorry bro, I know it hurts.
