I installed a liquid cooler, but my temps got higher

Today my Corsair H60 cooler arrived, I installed it as the instructions say, but my temperatures got higher.... I bought it because my CPU had 70c on idle, and now that I have installed the cooler, it idles at 90c.

I have the pump connected to cpu_fan and the fan next to the radiator is connected to a sys_fan.

Please help, I can´t even play CS:GO... which doesnt require much to do so......

 make sure that the cpu fan is set to give all the power it can to keep the pump powered

if it is possible move the rad to the front of the case because it is pulling all of the hot air inside of the system thought it and if it in the front it will draw in cool air from outside the case

That shouldn't cause the CPU to idle at 90C.

I went to the BIOS and changed the cpu_fan speed to fast... I read ealier that it had to be in 12v, but since I didnt know how to do that, I settled with setting the speed on fast

well sorry but when i moved mine from the back to front it went down 8-10 degrees

Make sure that the pump is actually running, and powered by a header delivering full power at all times. Some mobos have a dedicated pump header, while on others u can connect the pump to any fan header and set it to run on full power at all times. I have the same h60 but I used a molex to 3 pin and directly powered it using my psu, never have to worry bout my pump not getting full power. The fx 8350 in my system idles at 25-30 degrees celcius and hits 55-58 under full load.

increase the fan speed for the fan

That would only bring it down to 80C idle, which is still no good.

There are two wires.  Once for the tach signal for speed regulation and one for power.

 

I stand corrected sir!  You are correct.  These little ones don't have a SATA power cable.  My apologies.

Well, I see a wire coming out of the fan and a wire coming out of the CPU block... thats all i see, the fan one is connected to a sysfan and the CPU block is connected to cpufan

how do i make sure that the pump is runnig?

If u touch the top cover of the pump, there is a very very slight vibration on mine. Very subtle.

Did you use the right mounting hardware? I know I mounted an AIO on and it was sitting a couple cms above it because the screws were backwards

1. Make sure the fan is actually spinning.

2. Make sure the pump is running (should be able to feel it or maybe hear it a bit).

3. Tip it around to make sure there isn't an air bubble in the block.

4. Did you leave the plastic on the base?

5. Tighten them screws down boi.

2. It vibrates a bit, but im almost sertain that its because of the fans of the case, since the vibration is consistant around the case....... what to do...
