Zalman PSU ??

yassir123

Hello,

The other day I was looking up some affordable PSU options and I found a zalman one for around 50$, it was 80 Plus bronze and 600w, it's the ZM-600tx, but idk I was wondering if anyone had prior experience with this brand, and is it a good bang for the buck ?

Idunno man, seems very sketchy. I'd rather get the EVGA 600 B1 Bronze, or something along those lines. Only had good experiences with EVGA

Except the B1 line is still very mediocre.

@yassir123 A CX450M would be a much better choice.

 well i don't wanna cheap out on the psu tbh, i'm getting high end everything to an extend, i mean great price/performance parts, but this one looked like a good deal, still if it's it's sketchy i might stick with a 550W corsair or evga one

Some Zalman PSUs aren't bad, especially units from the past, many of which were made by FSP or Andyson.

This particular unit though seems to be made by "Hui Cheng" for the OEM - who, according to Zalmans own product shots, actually cover up the primary capacitors in all black so that you can't even see who they're made by. Even other low-tier power supply makers are not afraid to the point where they'd cover up their CapXons or Teapos. So I would definitely not trust it.

Or its just me .

I left for a bit because I was really busy with my job as well as school. Finished my job for the season, passed high school, emo god of class of 2017, blah blah blah. Now I'm back :)
