How Loud is sound coming from open-backed headset?

How much of the sound can be heard from open backed headphones? Is it a lot or more quiet?

Depends on how loud you listen to the headphones.

My mom can hear mine from down the hall in the basement over the crunch of Cheetos.

They are not as loud when on head but quite loud when placed on table for example.

Still....my mom was complaining quite regularly when I was listening to music at night and she could clearly hear it trough the wall.
