144Hz (or more) Monitor advice!

CrazinCS

Hello,

I will start off by saying that I don't know much about monitors (as in what panel does what and why, etc.).

I am looking to buy a 144 Hz monitor (I used to own a LG W2363D 120Hz) but I'm kind of confused by all the online reviews, some even talking about 180Hz+ monitors and stuff like that.

So far I've come to the conclusion that the Asus VG248QE and the Zowie Benq XL2430 are good monitors, but I keep reading that the Zowie Benq has bad colors. I also read about some good monitors from LG and Asus RoG.

I basically just want a 24inch (or 27 maybe? not sure yet.), 144Hz monitor with good colors and that performs well. Must have height adjustments! My budget is max 400€ (US420$ or CA560$)

If anyone could help me figure things out it would be much appreciated, thank you.

So you upgrading from 120Hz 1080p to 144Hz 1080p? I say it's not worth it. 160+ Hz monitors are probably way above your budget. Save up to get 144hz 1440p monitor or a 160+Hz 1080p monitor.

Oh no, I'm not upgrading. I don't have a monitor at all right now, that was just to give an idea as to what I was using before.

Zowie won't be any worse than the Asus in terms of colour and what it looks like, as they're TN panels. But on the other hand you will need to pay quite a bit more for an IPS. I think Samsung does a halfway compromise called VA, but I've not tried it.
