DVI, HDMI is god awful with computers and the cables cost too much.

hdmi is the cheapest thing on the planet. dp master race though.

The difference isn't that big to bother caring, but DVI or Displayport is typically preferred.

Depending on res, if you are using 60Hz 1440p or lower res monitor it wont matter, but if you are using 120Hz or above than 1440p, then you need to use DVI.

Honestly I haven't looked at an hdmi cable for a reeeeeaaaaaaally long time (just checked newegg, they're cheap for once). Plus not all hdmi cables are made equal :P

Like M-ursu said, quality wise there isn't anything in it as long as you keep within the spec of the HDMI interface.

DVI is the superior interface but if all you need is 1080p at 60fps then HDMI is okay. Better even if you need it to send audio too...
