Upgrading GPU

Hey I'm new to the linus tech tips forums and I need some advice. I have a GTX 745 and I would like to upgrade. This card is single slot and is relatively small. Which gpu should I get. Also I belive I have a 300W PSU

You might want to just head over to pcpartpicker.com and find one that fits you parameters(you can filter them) and budget since theres a wide array based on the same chipsets.

max i would put in that machine is an RX 470 but thats getting iffy with PSU requirements. a RX460, GTX 1050 or GTX 1050 TI should be good tho

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

how wide of a gpu can you fit

an RX 460 would be a good upgrade is relatively power supply friendly (although in the future it would be a good idea to get a 500 or 600w PSU).

460 or 1050/ti would be good for that system. I would look at upgrading the PSU at some point though. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Is it a single slot or a dual slot placement for GPU?

 

And measure how long the Case could probably hold for a GPU. Usually high end GPUs are around 9-10 inches long.
