Black spec on monitor

I own the 22 inch Sceptre E225W-1920 monitor and I noticed that I have a few small black/dark brown specs on my screen, when I screenshot this and move the screenshot to another side of the display they don't appear in the image and it seems to be something physical, they appear to be in the screen but over the mouse and when i glide my fingers on it I feel nothing, what can this be?

It's a dead pixel, and should be enough reason to RMA the monitor. How long have you had it?
