It isn't a single event. As AMD distributes information, each will have its own date. It'll probably keep up until full launch.

Probably quite a long time from now. Reviewers don't even have samples of either, so we're going to be waiting a while.

I used to be quite active here.

late Q2 would be June. Which is about the time when new CPUs usually are launched. They did give out some more info, or rather some better showcasing at CES (LTT video with BF1 benchmark). But until reviewers get their samples, there wouldn't be any NDA anyway. Because AMD isn't telling anything.

No, Ryzen will go on sale before March 31st because we have confirmation from some of the MB manufactures that their Ryzen motherboards will be on sale before that date, and you can be damn certain that they aren't selling the boards when there is no CPU on market to make use of said boards.

Do you have a source for this anywhere?

Apart from the GN article he also mentioned it in the video version of it.

Around 4:55, somewhere.

edit: also he says he has been given that information "directly" and he is at the AMD booth.

So i THINK (not sure) someone from AMD told him that and not a motherboard manufacturer.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3
