New Build for the start of the Year :)

Hey guys.

For the start of the Year i wanted to build my first PC.

I have been doing some planning for the last 2 weeks and pretty much have all my parts choosen.

Going from the Recomendation Post:

1. I am from Germany and my Budget is around 3000€ (but i don´t mind going a bit above it for increased performance)

2. I will use the PC mostly for gaming (some VR), streaming and a bit of video editing.

3. Atm i am running on a 2 monitor (1920x1080) setup but wouldn´t mind upgrading to 3 of them.

4. I have all my peripherals already.

5. Upgrading because i want a new PC and i am gonna gift my old one to my GF.

With that out of the way here is the list i made on PCPARTPICKER : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/R2twD8

Thank you in advance and have a nice day !

Just swapped for a nicer looking mobo IMO, plus ASUS is much more experienced at motherboards than EVGA

I'd go with this build.  Get at least a 120GB SSD though...

With that kind of build, you will definitely benefit from a larger capacity ssd. I'm not sure if that motherboard does m.2 nvme drives, but if it does...Then make room in your build for that. Areas I would spend less on are the cpu cooler and the RGB fans. That will allow you to get faster and larger ssd storage.

Is the 110 euro price difference justifiable? No, not at all! just overclock the card a little bit and you get the same clockspeed as the card you put on your list. Also an air cooler have little chance of failing rather than an AIO cooler, if the fan fails, just change the fan an wallah! it will work again like a charm!

P.S Dark Rock Pro 3 is sexy.

The DRP3 is a high end air cooler. If it was a CoolerMaster Hyper Evo 212 then sure. Also not sure how the Zotac GTX 1080 is a downgrade from the EVGA ?

EVGA cooler is better. Plus it has RGB to match the rest of the RGB. At this price, I don't think OP minds an extra 100 for aesthetics, considering the fans he added.

IK, but a 280 rad will obviously outperform it...

That is assuming the EVGA gpu doesn't burst into flames with the dodgy vrm's overheating xD Seriously though you are probably talking about a few degrees difference. You also get a 5 year warranty with Zotac.

As for the cooler the BeQuiet Dark Rock 3 will hold it's own when cooling the i7. Sure a 280mm rad might give better performance, but you are paying double the price for it.
