My Local PC Shop Stole my CPU

14 minutes ago, Frankieanime158 said:

Everyone!!! Nanatech just emailed me saying they have my CPU and to come pick it!! So if you guys emailed them, it must've worked :) Funny how they try to make me sounds like the bad guy, saying stuff like "your cpus been here since August, I don't know why it's still here. You need to come pick it up". Even though one guy told me they couldn't give it back to me, and some dude in the back said the same thing from a back room...

Thanks :D

Haha. All the talk of a lawsuit scared them. Glad things worked out!

Wishing leads to ambition and ambition leads to motivation and motivation leads to me building an illegal rocket ship in my backyard.

This story seems very one sided

But with no proof that it's your or that brought it in nothing evenew the cops can do. Unless they launch an investigation and see for them self then you might get your cpu back.

You should of asked for some type of paper or document for the seller to sigh saying they took it. Even a sticky notes that they wrote we took the cpu and the kind of cpu with the managers signature.

No proof = rip

Pc stores are shady :/ And their prices are outrageous.. They were trying to sell me a GTX 950 for 375$ + tax 8 months ago.. And tried to sell my brother a 16gb single stick of ram for 120$ PLUS

While some might be, remember we aren't all like that. I hear some pretty shady stuff from new clients. I've never understood why some "techs" try to be. I would file a police report at the least. As far as I know that does not cost anything. Best of luck OP.

Haven't read the thread, but you should go in there with the claims that you have, and record them. Ther there's gotta be a lawyer you can talk to that you can strike a deal on (ask for help with friends, family). Proof is all you need.

You should also make as much noise as possible on the internet. Take advantage of outrage culture, post on reddit, on their facebook, everywhere. Let them quiver in their boots at the power of the internet.

Edit: That's pretty much what happened. Nice.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

The PC store next to my restaurant was apparently shady. I went down one morning and the place was swarming with federal police. They'd been running an identity theft rung (and actual theft as well, they apparently stole tools and materials from the construction workers in the building.)

That's awesome, thank you a ton :) I'm pretty sure it helped in getting them to reply to me.

Yea, when I buy PC hardware online, I always shop from NCIX. Great service :] If for some reason I'm in Van looking to buy parts, that'd be the first place I'd go :P

Not the most creative of websites, with information about as detailed as you'd find in a Best Buy store. An even bigger offense, half of these pages basically say Contact Us. It would take one page to detail yourself as a custom system builder.

The website alone would be a turn off from me ever purchasing from them (location and citizenship notwithstanding).

My eyes see the past…

My camera lens sees the present…
