Gtx 1070 or 1060

I recently got a gtx 1070 but upon much trial. I found it was broken.  I currently have a 970 and play at 1080p.  I just want something small and good for 1080p.  Should I get a 1060 and save my money or go all out.  Currently I'm leaning towards the 1060.

doesn't your 970 already do 1080 just fine? You won't get much benefit going from that to 1060. Doesn't seem worth the money to me.

Did you get a refund?

A 970 to 1060 or 480 isn't a very big upgrade. If upgrading, go for a 1070. Whether you'll put a 1070 to use in 1080p gaming depends on the games that you play, and the settings you like to play them at, but there are plenty of games that need a 1070 to run at max settings, or near max settings, for 1080p gaming.

I'd look for a good deal on a 1070, or wait to buy something when AMD's Vega comes out.
