G.Skill RAM "GVR" vs "GVRB" models

Omie

Does anyone know the difference between the GVR and GVRB models besides the timing difference?

On the G.Skill site, it says that "*If there is a "B" as the third letter of the series, such as "TZB" or "RKB", then it typically designates a different CL timing value when compared to the original model without the "B" in the third letter." That answer is pretty vague to me.

Here is an example:

GVR Model CAS 16 (16-16-16-36): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232315&cm_re=g_skill_ripjaws_v_3200_16gb-_-20-232-315-_-Product

GVRB Model CAS 16 (16-18-18-38): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231977&cm_re=g_skill_ripjaws_v_3200_16gb-_-20-231-977-_-Product

Note that the GVRB model is much cheaper as well.

Would the GVRB models most likely be newer models with higher and tighter timings, meaning that they offer more stability with OC'ing to the specified speeds on Z170 mobos?

But is worth the $30-40 extra? Would I notice any difference when gaming?

Get the cheaper one, ram timings won't really affect your gaming performance
