Probably similiar performance to Nvidia's GTX 1070 with slightly higher power draw and slightly lower price.


EDIT: There is no source, this is just my expectation.

the only reason the 10 series cards were twice as fast as the 9 series cards is because nvidia switched from maxwell (old architecture) to Polaris (new)

That's very wrong, 'Polaris' is AMD's architecture. 

Correction "Nvidia switched from Maxwell to Pascal, as well as changing nodes from 28nm to 14/16nm."

16nm is what Nvidia produces most of their Pascal with the exception of the 1050 and the Ti variant which is 14nm.

 

We also know little to nothing until official release and benchmarks with actual drivers come out, no point in asking until then.
