ShadowProxy on EC2 - Problem connecting to proxy

desertcomputer

Hi I am not sure if anyone out there is familiar setting up shadowproxy on AWS EC2 instance, I have trouble connecting to my server as it gives me connection error and when i try to ping my public IP of the instance i get request timeout, all the configuration are same to the guide apart from ip range it just a single port 8000, i have tired using a different port but the same problem. The proxy client also gives me timeout error in the log area, i presume the actual shadowproxy is working as it started without any errors in the .log file.

Error:

System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: An exception occurred during the operation, making the result invalid. Check InnerException for exception details. ---> System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. ---> System.IO.IOException: Authentication failed because the remote party has closed the transport stream.

You need to allow ICMP to get ping response.

In security group, add ICMP rule (custom or all, up to you). If custom, then Echo Reply.

Dope but doesn't really fix the main problem.
