Call of Duty (kidding).

Get her something like Cities:Skylines and maybe even The Stanley Parable (but screen that one first). Antichamber is also an excellent game. I also recommend Race the Sun.

Cities: SKylines has been recommended quite a few times, I think I should look into it.

Stanley Parable is really good game, but she will understand only some random words, and will get bored of it really quickly.

Anitchamber is also great, since it doesn't have all too many words (none if I recall correctly) she might like it.

Don't know anything about Race The Sun, will look into it.

no idea what to put here

I have both Audiosurf 1 and 2, but for some reason I cant share her Audiosurf 2 via my library, don't know hwat's up with that.

Is Trine 3 finaly finished? Last time I played it, it was reaally short.

Wasn't Limbo rated 18+?

Mirror's Edges are fun games, but I don't think that they're for her.

Yea, now that I think back to playing limbo its pretty scary at some places. So probs best to hold off on that... the others should be pretty good though. No idea on trine 3 I didnt like it over 2

you can, and the game really depends on how you play it, when I was a 12ish years old girl myself I used to play GTA San Andreas on the PS2, my dad once did mention about it being known for its violence but I showed him my favourite thing about the game (and still true by today when I fire up GTA V on PC) is just get a nice car and drive across the world, I just love driving so much and the experience on it is more immersive than in any racing game xD.

Ori and The Blind Forest - is another 2d game might be nice, it's very emotive though even I got sobby like with the prologue but this is still the most beautiful 2d game I ever played for graphics matter, very beautiful.

Maybe, our mum is quite strict with these things. I was allowed to watch James Bonds at like 9, but she's got a lot more strict with my sisters, not quite sure why though.

Will take a look at the Ori and The Blind Forest. Do you happen to remeber hwo was the Ubisoft's great platofrmer called? something about a light or child.

I'm sorry I'm not aware of it, but it came to me, The Sims and Rollercoaster Tycoon are other two nice options.

A PS2 emulator and a version of Gex: Enter the Gecko would be my choice.

For actual PC games, Little Inferno may be a good one. Also some of the bridge maker games like poly bridge, though they can get quite hard at later levels.

EDIT: Pretty much any of the Lego games as well.

EDIT 2: Oh, and Spore

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, there's no dialogue in this game so language shouldn't be a problem, a controller is recommended though.

I desperately want to recommend Cities: Skylines and Planet Coaster because they are aggressively family-friendly and spiritual successors to some of my favorite games of my own youth… but I don't think either is localized in Finnish, and might be a bit too complicated at 12. Maybe watch some videos, use your own judgement. They are great, though.

(I know Colossal Order is a Finnish developer, but shockingly and sadly I don't see Finnish listed as a supported language on the Steam store page for Skylines!)

Maybe some older games ? Gex(mentioned above), Worms(not the 3D versions, but classics, like Worms Armageddon - endless fun, especially for 2), Croc, Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones....what about some adventure games ? Atlantis 2, The Longest Journey, Myst(though that one may be too demanding).

And maybe emulation ? Legend of Zelda(2 games) for Nintendo 64 is great...also Super Mario 64
