815GB of missing data

Hi I have a problem my external hard drive is 931GB but when you click on the drive the total amount of data in the hard drive only equals 116GB

Any help would be much appreciated

The picture on the left is from the outside and the right is on the inside

Use windirstat (https://windirstat.net) to scan the disk, it will show everything you have on there, in a nice visual way.

My advice is to save what you have there onto your pc, then reformat the drive, maybe reformatting it might fix it.

 

I find the program Aomei partition assistant to work well, it being my preferred program to use for drives and partition related shit.

 

If that doesn't work then use windows command prompt to reformat the drive?

Copy the data you want to keep to your computer and format the drive.
