GTX 960 2GB Overclock Settings

xDRiiFTx

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting something on this forum,

I recently got a new PC, with a GTX 960 2GB (MSI Variant) and I decided

to overclock it today. I was wondering, if these settings are good, and

do I void the warranty by overclocking it? The temps don't seem to get abnormal,

They peek out at about 70C I believe.

Most 960s should approach 1500 MHz without extra voltage, but (not counting reference clocked models) most of the gains are to be had from the memory as this card is most often bottlenecked there (due to Nvidia's unfortunate decision to hamstring the card with a 128 bit bus). On mine, I've pushed about 500 MHz offset on the memory which equated to about 10% increase in performance at, or above 1920 X 1080.

This is enough to make it competitive with the R9 280 in most DX11 titles, though there are definitely much better cards than either to be had today.

Temps shouldn't be a concern under normal use. A vast majority of aftermarket GM206 based cards come with very overkill coolers. The ACX 2.0 cooler on mine, for example, is also used on the 980Ti.
