Should I wait for Rx 490

I currenlty have a R7 370 and the graphics card is one of the last things that I need to upgrade in my PC it runs games fine for now quite well. The main reason that I would get an AMD GPU is because freesync is so much cheaper.

What resolution you playing at. If 1080p then the RX 480 will be enough but you can wait

I was going to get 3 x 4k monitors and play at 3 x 1080p or 1 x 4k.

What on earth are you going to do with 3 4k monitors?! That's 12k of display real-estate.

My advice to you would be to get a 3440x1440 monitor instead and pair it off with a GTX 1070. You won't even have to worry about adaptive sync because you won't see your framerates get much lower than 60, if at all.

If you want to play at 4k with AMD hardware exclusively, the 490 is your best bet.

Have a think about your 12k setup instead- that sounds like a lot of money for a lot of nothing. I don't even know if 12k gaming is feasible at this point.
