I believe the idea is very nice but it is extremely unpractical yet so I do not think it is worth the costs and trouble for a decent experience, I would still prefer a good screen over any VR.

Now when full immersion become reality like in Sword Art Online then people will never have a reason to leave their homes again(apart to work), it'll be the end of real estate market since you can just live in a small apartment and enjoy a whole prettier world from there heheh...

Look at my vr thread to see how some people fell about it. people put in input.

But I think at the state it's only worth if you have the extra money.it's not a thing to go broke for.

The games for it are well we need better ones. I've only found around 4 games worth playing on the vive.

But the experience it's self is great.

Also on the vive you can use room view so you'd be able to see the robbers and they will think you can't see them xD

Everyone should own a vive.

I think it's a jolly good time, but at the moment it's like going to the arcade. It's fun for a bit, but you run out of cool stuff to do very fast.

What we need currently is better games, though given that most 'good' AAA titles take a couple (or a few... Or an undefined number, if you're Valve) years to make and VR just started gaining traction recently, we'll have to wait just a bit longer.

VR has to become a fully immersive experience (like @Princess Cadence said) for it to be a must-have technology, though.

"Do as I say, not as I do."

Yeah, VR still has a way to go.  I actually got to try it out when one of the guys at the Guard unit brought is setup for everyone to try out.  Lets just say, most where not impress with the tech, and where especially turn off when they asked about the price.

I am actually keeping an eye on AR like the Microsoft Hololens.  That looks very neat, and especially if they can expand it to work with programs like 3D rendering, drawing, etc.

Vive owner, even at 1500$ i would be pleased with VR.

I just love it, it's a dream coming true for me, that's everything i always wanted. The sense of "presence" is awesome, you really are there.

I'm not using my Vive every day, but just sometime here and there, like i would do with classic video games (for you folks, who are thinking that I'm using VR to escape real life : I'm definitely not).

Anyway, i can understand why people would not agree with me, everyone has an opinion. Mine is set.
