How do you reset/clear bios?

I'm trying to reset my bios to version 3.0 (default) but no matter what I try it remains 3.5 I went into bios clicked on load optimized default, cleared cmos by removing battery, cleared cmos with jumper but it doesn't change just remains 3.5. Any other things I can try? or is there a reason it remains 3.5? The reason i'm doing it is because ever since I updated I've been getting tons of problems with my CPU

you got to get the bios on a flash drive that is the older version. you can't change a bios with the cmos battery removed

what you're trying to do is downgrade the BIOS firmware. CMOS stuff is just for default settings, not firmware. You might need to check your manufacturer's website for exact instructions on how to downgrade, if even possible

You cannot downgrade bios normal way. Most motherbords have dual bios system one is for recovery if your main bios is currupt to reset to original. But if your pc still is bootable just flash new version of bios if manufacturer has 1 on their site.

To use back up bios it usally says contact manufacturer.
