Origin is Bouncing Battlefield 4 Preorders

MeltyMoon

I don't necessarily have an article to go with this, but I have had this happen to me and I have a quote from a representative to confirm this issue. They aren't even sure if they have charged my credit card or not. Check your origin games library and make sure this hasn't happened to your account either. My BF4 was revoked and refunded 0 dollars today, so if you haven't logged into origin yet you may want to, and contact customer support to get your account flagged. (I was assured any charge would be revoked, still printing the chat to be sure). Here are a couple screen caps of the chat:

I'm very upset with this, the fact that they can't even be sure if I've been charged or not is unbelievably frustrating.

Think I should just reorder Battlefield 4?

For? The game is no longer tied to my account. He said he was going to elevate it to ensure no money was charged, no idea if they are just going to give the game back to my account.

I think you'll be fine. I couldn't preload it yesterday while my friends could (should have assumed something was wrong then)

I'm saying this for your own benefit:

When blocking out numbers, whatever you did to hide those order numbers, never do it again, or learn how to do it effectively. Or, better yet, just black them out entirely.

I can read them. Almost easily in fact.

They're just order numbers though not that important. I know to black out actual important ones.

Origin never accepts any of my credit cards... I always have to get a code from someone else.

your email needs to be the same on your origin payment option as it is on the credit card (at least thats how it was when i paid with paypal)

So i just received an email saying that my account was elevated to a 'games specialist' lol. I guess I'll sit on this for a day and see if they do anything, I hope they do before the game launches.

just wait for a responce i mean (as far as i know) the ea support is AWSOME and will help you 9/10 times

If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough it will be believed.

And people wonder why we rag on them so much on the forums.

3sldyx.jpg

They aren't that bad ACTIVISION is waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy worse.

EA still makes good games like Dead Space,Mirror's Edge,Dragon Age,Mass Effect,Plants vs Zombies,Battlefield,Crysis,Sims and Titanfall.

And Origin is still Years better then Uplay or that piece of crap GFWL.

They may not be the best company, but there far away from beeing the worst.

I've never had an issue like this before, I've been preordering things for the past 7ish years.

You should never pre-order games.

If things go like they usually do, there's going to be a discount very soon :)

You should never pre-order games.

Depends on the game and your affiliation regarding it.

If I love Disgaea games and they are all usually the same thing but with new features and a new story, then I'm going to pre-order it because:

A. I know I will love the game anyway.

B. I get cool swag with it if I pre-order soon enough.

C. I want the developer to get more of my money so that they will be more inclined to continue making such games.

So yeah. There are good reasons to pre-order. However, when it comes to blockbuster titles like Battlefied, Call of Duty, and the like, I wouldn't bother with reason C because it's moot since they will make another one in a year anyway. The other two are still valid, but not enough to make me pre-order them.

... Unless they come with the 290X (which BF4 does), so yeah. That's an exception.
