Too funny.  Didn't you just say that you weren't ordering from nVidia again due to the return hassles?  I get it though.  Desperate times, desperate measures.  Glad to hear that you have a GPU inbound.

I just keep my slow 1080 SLI until there are a few more card options out there.  Might go the lazy route and just grab two EVGA 1080s with waterblocks already on them.  We'll see.

You're exactly right. Desperate times, desperate measures. I saw it for the taking and had to jump on it. :D I'm anticipating Mass Effect: Andromeda. I've been waiting for this game and buying a GPU was imperative no matter where it came from.

I wouldn't say the return process was a hassle as it was more confusing than anything. I was looking online for answers at the time and came across this article from reddit where someone had the same exact experience as I did.

They were up for about 90 mins. Must've been a big shipment of new cards.

The card was running at the same clock and memory as shown though if it is mandatory to be included in the doc list I will post GPU-Z shot later

Man, the deals on things from people that are clearing out for new cards are great...

I'm putting off buying 1080TI's for a while. Gonna wait till the crazy ones come out.

In the meantime, I bought some cards that I've already owned...

Also remove 2442 from the doc, it is only stable after 1 bench run. It goes unstable again now

You got the run in and got a screenshot of the final score. That's all that matters. Doesn't need to be stable to be on the board.

If it needed to be stable to go on the board then I would be last :P

In fact I would just never bother subbing at all.

Also I am disappointed in people's will power. Seems very weak to buy a flanders edition, no matter what cooling you put on it :P

So NVidia accepted my Titan X return. I got refunded $1281 dollars. Now I wait for 1080 Ti availability. :D

Same here. Not sure what's next, but I picked up a used 980 Matrix for fun and to compete.  I'm going to try my 7350K/980 combo when I get a chance.

enjoy your 1080Ti !!

Just a small update...

I overclocked on air and the max I could get was +150 core (haven't pushed memory yet), which boosted to 2050 then back down a bit as temperature rose. I was getting vrel perfcap with +170 first, then +160 in GPU-Z. Max power usage was 117.3%.

Hopefully I'll be able to push the clocks a bit further as I put it on water tomorrow. I remembered my Titan hit that wall on air then flourished under water.

Max temp on stock cooler was 49c at an ear shattering 100% fan speed. xD

Ya I always seem to get mediocre cores, but that memory OC seems to net a lot more fps anyway. I think I gained like 18fps on average over stock from the memory OC alone.

I did it! It only took patching the driver 25 times so my custom BIOS worked.

Used the OP tweaks, plus the Voltage Unlocked BIOS to set 1.35V, then flash back to modified stock BIOS so I can OC memory, and the voltage stays through the flash.

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1240 V1 (Sandy Bridge, up to 3.7GHz). Probably one of the more obscure CPUs to make this leaderboard :P

Shit I don't have an easy way to get Win7. But I'll try it once I get more free time. I wish I had some more time to mess with hardware.

Pretty nice score considering the CPU limitation. 1450mhz on that 480 is pretty sweet too.
